Congratulations to Bria Macklin on winning a 2019 BMES Career Development Award. This award provides students with complimentary registration to this years BMES Conference in Philadelphia, PA. Additionally, students receive a significant stipend to aid in travel costs. While at BMES, Bria will be giving a talk entitled “Induced pluripotent stem cell-derived endothelial cells incorporate into host retinal vasculature and ameliorate vascular abnormalities in the mouse model of oxygen-induced retinopathy”. Another Gerecht Lab member, Dr. Hawley Pruitt, will be joining Bria at BMES and will also be giving a talk entitled “Collagen fiber structure guides 3D motility of cytotoxic t lymphocytes”.
